Aryavan is Director of Living Wisdom School (pre K-8) in Palo Alto. He and his wife, Ishani, come here from India where they shared EFL principles with the schools there. What became known as the EFL Inspired Schools program was based in two KG-12 schools in Gurugram, where over one hundred teachers are now practicing EFL’s child-centered approach with over two thousand students. Prior to this, he taught in the Living Wisdom High School at Ananda Village.
Unusually, Aryavan grew up in the Ananda Community in Palo Alto, and attended the Living Wisdom School for nine years. After getting a degree in Film Production, he met Swami Kriyananda, and for three and a half years traveled with him as his videographer, recording television shows and broadcasting live talks. After Swamiji’s passing in 2013, Aryavan followed his direction to become a teacher in the Education for Life philosophy.
