Since ancient times, great teachers have used stories, analogies, parables and metaphors to convey spiritual truth in a way that it would be remembered.

In this class, Mahavir will offer stories that illustrate spiritual principles of the path of Self-Realization, as brought to light by Paramhansa Yogananda and carried on by his direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda.

Mahavir will also offer insights on the art of storytelling and use different types of stories to illustrate the points he makes. Fun, inspiration and food for thought.

Dr. Marcel (Mahavir) Hernandez

Marcel is a naturopathic doctor and medical professor by profession. But he shines in the evenings as a thespian and play director. He went to Stanford on full scholarship as a theater major, where he studied with acting greats such as Otto Preminger. He brings deep sensitivity and experience to stage direction, and brings Ananda plays to magical life on our small stage.
