Seventy-two years ago, J. Donald Walters met Yogananda for the first time. In that first meeting, he offered himself utterly to the search for God. “I want to be your disciple,” he told the Master. His life was transformed in that moment, and in the many years since then, countless others have been touched in turn. Tonight, we’ll honor Swami’s life-long example of discipleship in story and song, looking for gems that will help us, individually, deepen our commitment to the spiritual life. All are welcome.
