Join us in person or watch online.

Sunday service: 10-11:30 am
Fire ceremony & meditation: 9 am

Sunday mornings at Ananda are joyful, music-filled, and thoughtful. There is often laughter, and sometimes heartfelt tears. Explore thoughtful answers to questions we all have about the meaning and purpose of our lives.

This week, we welcome Dharmadas and Nirmala for their annual visit. They are long-time colony leaders from Sacramento, and previously served as directors of Ananda India. They bring humor, warmth, and many years of experience serving and working personally with Swamiji.

The morning talk is inspired by the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi) and his lifelong disciple, Swami Kriyananda. The morning begins with a short period of chanting and meditation, followed by readings from the Bhagavad Gita and Bible, a 30-minute sermon, and a ceremony afterward, called the Festival of Light. If you wish, you can also attend a fire ceremony and meditation beginning at 9am. The ceremony is guided so anyone may join.

Stay for refreshments in the Temple courtyard after service (ends at 11:30am) to meet with like-minded friends, old and new. All are welcome.

Asha Nayaswami delivers the sermon on this Sunday morning at the Ananda Temple in Palo Alto, CA. The reading for today is: "Faith Is a Call to Prayer; Prayer...
