Within the path of Kriya Yoga, Paramhansa Yogananda emphasized that the pathway to liberation combines both meditation and service–we practice meditation to deepen our inner life and we practice seva, or joyful service, to spiritualize our outer life.
Often, we dedicate a great deal of time and energy to developing our inner life; we study yogic philosophy and practice techniques to deepen our sadhana, but what does it mean to practice joyful service on the path of Kriya Yoga? What is Ananda Seva?
Ananda Seva is to infuse our daily lives with an attitude of selfless service, applying that attitude to whatever we do. In this morning class, we will explore practical tools to shift our mindset and our daily activity toward one of selfless service, enabling us to serve others with the right attitude.
Learn to practice the presence of God in every moment, inviting divine consciousness into your daily activities.

Swami Kriyananda wrote, “Activities that are undertaken in a spirit of joyous service have the effect of putting one in tune with the infinite source of all power…If one expands his energy after uplifting it, his activities bring him more, not less, peace, freedom, and joy.” Join us for a morning of discussion, introspection and experience as we dive into the power of Ananda Seva.
