Christmas is not merely a social celebration, but a sacred occasion to awaken the Christ awaken. Yogananda said, "To enjoy a real Christmas you should celebrate the birth of Christ Consciousness in the spiritual centers of divine perception in the brain and spine"

This is the second of a 2-part series on mystical Christmas. In this morning program, we will explore the symbolism and significance of Christmas as the celebration of the spirit of Christ. Through Yogananda’s writings, and Swami Kriyananda’s music, we will honor the inward celebration that the glorious festival represents.

Saiganesh is an Ananda minister and one of the co-managers of Ananda Palo Alto. He is a deeply thoughtful, clear speaker, and connects easily with people. He has a passion for sharing the teachings of Kriya yoga and meditation. A world citizen, he grew up in a traditional Hindu family in India and was trained as an Indian Classical musician. He is a former tech manager in the silicon valley, and applies his tech acumen to many Ananda projects.
