Asha’s book, LIGHTBEARER: The Life and Legacy of Swami Kriyananda, is both the story of Swamiji’s life and also a history of Ananda. Even though the book is over 600 pages, more was left out that was written in! This series will be a lot more of “the rest of the story.”
In her book study series — which Asha has been doing for more than 20 years! — she reads the text paragraph by paragraph. This will be different.
Each session will be one chapter, each chapter is one year of the 45 years Asha spent with Swamiji. We won’t be reading the text, rather we’ll be telling all the stories that didn’t make it into the book! Should be really fun, and informative.
The way Swamiji lived is a blueprint for how we should live — each in our own way -- as disciples of Paramhansa Yogananda, to bring our lives into the state of bliss Swamiji enjoyed. And the principles he used in developing Ananda is the guidebook for how we can carry on the work of the masters’ through our lifetimes as well.
