Don’t miss this very special event. Janmashtami is the annual celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna. Krishna is a divine incarnation that walked amongst us. His flute songs by the banks of the Jamuna river called devotees away from worldly pursuits to the divine search within.

6pm: Prasad (sacred food offering) in the Yoga Studio.

7pm: Master storyteller Murali Venkatrao, a visiting minister from Ananda Washington, is well-known on the internet and Ananda worldwide for his inimitable and engaging way of bringing traditional Indian stories to life. Through chants, stories, songs and meditations we will tune into Krishna’s love and wisdom, and his presence amongst us even today.

8:30pm: A grand arati and sharing of prasad (blessed food offered at the altar).

We request participants not to bring any food offerings, but flowers are welcome. If you wish to, dress in celebratory Indian clothes.
