The Holy Science is the only widely available book written by Swami Yukteswar Giri.
The book was the result of a special commission given by the great Mahavatar Babaji in the holy site of Prayag to Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri in the year 1894. Yukteswar was entrusted with the mission of writing a book that would show the essential unity of the religions of the east and the west, and the one common universal highway of spiritual evolution.
The extraordinary depth in this small volume is not easy to grasp for the average reader. Yet, as any true scripture, it has the quality of opening new windows to see a central truth by it's mere vibration.
We will discuss and study this book both as a way to tune into the essence of who Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri was and appreciate the seminal thought of Babaji that later took the form of Yogananda's mission to the West.
