Demystifying Hinduism

Online only event; Signups managed through Mighty Networks

2nd and 4th Thursdays, 7pm
Ongoing series

Hinduism is not an easy religion to decode - countless deities, many-armed, many-headed, with animal bodies or animal heads, dancing, playing on musical instruments, elaborate rituals, age old traditions and so much more to grapple with.

The endless complexities of it's expression can be confusing not just for westerners, but even for Indians who grew up with it.

Paramhansa Yogananda brought to the west the highest expression of Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion) as persevered for centuries in India, and gave us the gift of understanding and applyting these lofty teachings.

In this class series, we will use Swami Kriyananda's book, "The Hindu way of Awakening" to explore and clarify the essential teachings of this great religion. We will also discuss commonly known symbols and images, and their true meaning and purpose.

Register online, $49 for the series

The course is offered via Ananda Palo Alto’s online learning community, hosted on mighty networks. Participants will have lifetime access to class recordings and supplemental materials.
