The idea of working with Energy is the cornerstone of the Path of Kriya Yoga and the teachings of Yogananda. Energy is the connecting link between consciousness and matter, between mind and body. And hence, it holds the key to success and depth in our meditation practice.
The Energization Exercises are Paramhansa Yogananda’s unique contribution to the science of yoga. In these exercises Yogananda teaches us how to recharge the body battery and gain control over our subtle energy (prana) by using the power of will.
This same principle is applied in the practice of Kriya yoga, replacing the physical tension with an inner awareness of the energy flow. When the yogi practices these exercises with awareness and intention, it automatically enriches and deepens Kriya yoga practice.
In this 4 week series we will
- Review the principles of energy & energization through Yogananda’s original lessons
- Experiment and learn through simple yet powerful guided experiences
- Practice the exercises together exploring some often overlooked subtleties
The course will help re-inspire your practice of Energization, whether you have been practicing for 2 or 20 or 40 years.
