Nayaswami Jyotish is a painter and leads a yogic life. He and his wife, Devi, are the Spiritual Directors of Ananda Sangha.

Jyotish paints primarily in oil and many of his paintings contain images that are spiritually meaningful. Mountains, the abode of ancient yogis, suggest both aspiration and seclusion. The ocean symbolizes infinity, while waves often indicate the ego pulling away from infinity and then merging back into it. Hear Jyotish speak about the process of creating art that uplifts the soul.
